From Tooth Preparation to Comprehensive Rehabilitation – Modern Prosthodontics Without Compromise
Modern prosthodontics requires far more than perfect tooth preparation. Successful treatment depends on accurate diagnosis, comprehensive treatment planning, interdisciplinary collaboration, and the conscious selection of appropriate techniques and materials.
During this three-day training, you will learn a comprehensive approach to the restoration of natural teeth and implant-supported rehabilitation – from single-tooth restorations to complex cases requiring close collaboration between the orthodontist, periodontist, and prosthodontist.
The programme combines lectures with intensive hands-on workshops, allowing you to practise key preparation techniques and clinical procedures used in modern prosthodontics.

- How to confidently determine whether a case is suitable for a direct or indirect restoration.
- How to select the appropriate preparation design for a specific clinical situation.
- Understand the differences between Vertiprep and BOPT preparations and their clinical indications.
- How to plan comprehensive treatment with both aesthetic and functional considerations in mind.
- How to collaborate effectively with orthodontists and periodontists during interdisciplinary treatment.
- How to plan implant-prosthetic treatment correctly – from three-dimensional implant positioning to the final restoration.
- How to manage and design soft tissues around implants while minimising the risk of complications.
- How to fabricate provisional restorations and customise prosthetic components in implant dentistry.
Hands-On Workshops
A significant part of the training is dedicated to practical hands-on sessions. Participants will perform, among other procedures:
- anterior veneer preparations,
- vonlay and onlay preparations,
- full-coverage crown preparation,
- Vertiprep and BOPT preparations,
- fabrication of provisional restorations for implants in the anterior region,
- customisation of healing abutments,
- design and modification of provisional bridges.
Each procedure will be performed under the supervision of the lecturers, with a focus on the most common clinical mistakes and practical tips that can be immediately implemented in everyday clinical practice.

Hands-On Workshop – Tooth Preparation
Participants will perform:
- preparation of 4 anterior veneers on a mock-up (teeth 13, 12, 11, 21, 22 and 23),
- VONLAY preparation on tooth 24,
- ONLAY preparation on tooth 16
(with the option of elevating the preparation margin using flowable composite; if the scope of the preparation proves too extensive, this preparation may be omitted), - full-coverage crown preparation on tooth 11,
- VERTIPREP preparation on tooth 25,
- BOPT preparation on tooth 21.
